It's Christmas come early...

...far too early. So yesterday, I was in town with my mum - I'm that cool - when I happened upon this in a department store... Why?

I'm all for shops staying open, and obviously Christmas is a big earner for them. But it was the 28th of September for heaven's sake! Why must Christmas, which is only a two day holiday, let us not forget... take up a quarter of the year? We only went in to look at the Hallowe'en stuff...

Les Miserables Movie

Is anyone else excited about this? I'm very, very, very excited. I remember as the cast list grew and we knew who more and more of the cast were I got really worried that none of them could sing, that they wouldn't stay true to the original... typical fan girl worries, except the thing I'm a fan of isn't a band or an actor - it's a twenty-seven year old musical phenomenon...
 So when the trailer came out I almost fainted with relief. Thank goodness, it might actually work. And now I can't wait.
 And yes, when it comes out I might complain that that wasn't quite like it was when I saw it, and they got this bit wrong and that bit wrong - but I'm so glad someone is making it. And most of all, I'm grateful to Boublil and Schonburg for creating such a magical piece of theatre.

Not quite how I remembered it...

Have you ever noticed that each time you tell a story it gets more and more exaggerated  and changes to fit in with the conversation? I really hope it's not just me...
 The only thing that reassures me is when other people seem to make up stories and think I was there... of course that's normally when they've had a good time and not invited me, so it's not exactly a relief...
 It's possible I'm reading too much into this :S
