University Nightmares

Yes, I'm now seventeen, and what that means, is that quite apart from the fact I can (finally!) learn to drive, I'm now in Year 13, and need think about my future. I recently decided that, despite my parent's wishes that I follow a traditionally 'safe' career, that I wanted to do an acting degree at a drama school. After everyone I knew had told me how difficult it would be, I still wanted to do it, and they started taking me a little bit more seriously. But the thing is, no matter how difficult it may be, it's my dream. And dreams can't come true unless you try to make them come true. I don't want to wake up in twenty years time, weighed down with commitments and a job, and hate myself for not trying.
I'm doing all I can to make sure I have the best chance, but I'm expecting at least two years of auditions and rejections, and I'm trying to be prepared for that. This is the decision I've made, and I'm going to stick by it. That's my inspirational message for this week, to try to make up for the weeks I've put this blog into hibernation whilst I dealt with exams, personal statements and went on holiday. Follow your dreams, folks.

What are your dreams. How difficult is it to follow them? Comment below!
